Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of administrative affairs in improving the quality of administrative services at SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Pura. The approach used is qualitative research with a field study method, where data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study involved the school principal, head of administrative affairs, administrative staff, and teachers as primary data sources. The results show that 1) the management of administrative affairs at SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Pura involves four main aspects: planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. In the planning stage, management has been carried out in accordance with management functions; however, organizing has not been optimal due to the mismatch of the educational background of the administrative staff. Implementation of management runs well, although there are some obstacles that have not yet been addressed, while supervision is conducted optimally by the head of administrative affairs. 2) The quality of administrative services at SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Pura is considered satisfactory based on physical indicators, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy demonstrated by the administrative staff. 3) The role of administrative management in improving the quality of administrative services is crucial, with careful planning, controlled implementation, and regular evaluation to improve services in the future. Thus, the management of administrative affairs at SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung Pura is able to achieve educational goals through the enhancement of the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative services.Quality
